About

MARIAN HAMBLY

During the past 15 years in Sydney I have been studying filmmaking: attending AFTRS screenwriting workshops, networking, and conferences. I was a foundation member of the AFI in Canberra and was a member of the AWG for 10 years. As part of the requirements for completing the Grad Dip program at AFTRS, I wrote, directed and produced a documentary film about the rise and fall of the spectacular Manly Pool.

In Canberra, I co-directed a community access Printmaking Workshop (Studio One) while maintaining my own small business involving commissioned artworks. I have exhibited in nearly 30 group shows and held five solo exhibitions. (Contact me for Art CV.)

I am also a retired psychologist and have professional expertise in the areas of mental health, public health program promotion and project evaluation. (Contact me for Psychology CV.)
